Banner by estudio e
Hello Riders! It´s with very happiness we open the third edition of Tourist Trophy championships of the Evolution TT Cup line, “THE ISLE OF MAN”. Some news was added on this new season based on needs which was appearing over time. We thoroughly tested the two versions of TT, the American NTSC and European PAL and we notice some difference on the bike´s performances. And to continue fair with all riders, we will have two championships in one, because will be two tables for the same competition on each stage: one table for NTSC version and another to PAL version, which brings more emotion, because the championship will have two champions. Who can and want, can send times for the two versions and compete on the two tables, increasing your chances, in case to have the two versions in order. On this championship, as you know, we will tribute the legendary competition that baptized the main motorcycle simulator of PlayStation 2. We will start the tribute posting a resume of how all started: The History of Motorcycling, in the text below:
The history on two wheels
All started at 1869
The motorbike was invented both by a American and a French, without meeting and searching on their country of origin. Sylvester Roper on EUA and Louis Perreaux, on the another side of atlantic, made a kind of bike equipped with a steam engine in 1969. In this season the ships and trains moved by steam was common, so as Europe for USA, on France and United Kingdom the steam bus already was normally circulating.
The inventor of the motorbike with internal combustion engine was the German Gottlieb Daimler, helped by Wilhelm Maybach in 1885, installed a cylinder gasoline engine, light and fast, in adapted wood bike, with the purpose to test the practicality of the new engine. The glory to be the first drier of a bike working with a engine (internal combustion) was of Paul Daimler, a 16 year old boy, son of Gottlieb. The curious in this history is that Daimler, one of the ‘parents’ of the automobile, didn´t had a lower intention to made motor vehicles on two wheels. The fact is, after this pioneer machine, never more he build another, engaged exclusively on vehicle.

The internal combustion engine makes possible the making of motorcycles in industrial scale, but the engine of Daimler and Maybach, that worked by the Otto cycle and had four times, divided the preference with the two times engines, that was minor, more light and cheap. However, the bigger problem of the mopeds manufacturers – intermediate vehicles between bike and motorbike – was where to install the propeller: behind the saddle or in front of the steer, inside or on the bike, on the hub of the front or rear wheel? On starting didn´t had a consensus, all of this options was adapted and still exists copies of various models. Only on the beginning of the 20th Century the manufacturers reach a consensus about the best place to put the engine, i.e., the internal part of the triangle formed by the bike, followed rule until the actual days.
The first times of the motorcycles wasn´t easy…

Publish of a big event.
The history of motorcycle on Brazil
Started on the beginning of the past century with the importation of many European bikes and some with American manufacturing, together with similarly like sidecars and tricycles with engine. The evolution of the automotive industry on Brazil, with the ease of buying a car, from the 60´s almost stopped the industry of motorcycle. Only on 70´s the motorcycling reappeared with strength, verifying the import of Japanese bikes (Honda, Yamaha, Suzuki) and Italians. Appeared too the Brazilians FBM and Piaggio, Brumana, Motovi (name of Harley-Davidson used on Brazilian factory), Alpina, etc.
On 80´s was noticed another retraction on the motorcycle market, when various manufacturers closed the doors. Was when appeared the bigger motorcycle of the world, Amazonas, which had a Volkswagen engine of 1600cm³.
